DAR DE COMER AL BARRIO: “HACER MARAVILLAS”. : PRECARIZACIÓN DE LA VIDA COTIDIANA EN LA CIUDAD DE CÓRDOBA (2023-2025)

Abstract

The objective is to analyze the continuities, ruptures and transformations that have arisen in the socio-community spaces (dining rooms and picnic areas) of the city of Córdoba, Argentina, in terms of food care, institutions/actors involved, during the period 2023-2025. From a qualitative perspective, we worked on a corpus composed of: field notes from workshops held in different spaces in the city, meetings of the Roundtable for the Food Emergency, Plenary of Socio-community Workers. Among the main findings, the great rupture is the disengagement of the National and Provincial State from community food care. This demanded greater efforts in the work of the women who were left in charge of the pots, a decrease in the number of days that food was offered and a deterioration in nutritional quality. A comprehensive, long-term intersectoral policy is necessary that addresses the right to food rather than the food emergency.
